Vint Condition
Hi, I am Madelyn!
I bring furniture back to life. Whether it needs a new finish or a complete overhaul, I am your gal. I make furniture beautiful again to either serve its original purpose or to give it a new function.
I learned several important values from growing up on a farm in small town Iowa. My family knew the value of keeping your belongings nice so they last. Each building on the farm held vintage treasures. One had rows of antique Folgers canisters to hold screws and bolts, one held vintage farming and gardening tools and my personal favorite, the loft in the barn which stored years of old furniture. This made for an exciting scavenger hunt for my sister and me. With the help of our dad, we found several pieces of furniture to transform throughout the years, and a love for the activity formed. I will always thank my parents for their patience and support for my grand – and often abrupt – painting ideas.
Now, several years later, I have tapped back into that passion. What started as a hobby has bloomed into a part-time business. My vision is to see vintage furniture thrive in homes today. Some of the styles may have changed, but if it has good bones, I will find a way to preserve the piece for my clients. There is beauty in old furniture. It tells a story of trends at the time, remembers a use that may not even exist today and often represents genuine craftsmanship.
I hope you find a Vint Condition piece to match your personality, style and space.
I also welcome custom orders; I have a large inventory of unfinished pieces ready for your personal touch. Please reach out to me directly to learn more!
