Quartersawn Oak Buffet | Late Victorian

This beautiful vintage buffet has been thoughtfully updated with a rich black stain on the case, creating a dramatic contrast with the warm wood tones of the drawers and decorative panels. The original wood grain remains beautifully visible, adding depth, character, and warmth to the piece. Its striking carved appliqués and elegant cabriole legs give it a sophisticated vintage presence.

The original brass hardware has been carefully retained, preserving the buffet’s authentic charm and period character. The combination of black-stained framing, glowing wood drawers, and antique brass creates a timeless look that works beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors. The buffet top sports new veneer and is finished with an oak backplate.

This statement piece offers generous storage while bringing a unique blend of vintage elegance and updated style to a dining room, entryway, or living space. The drawers have been cleaned and finished with shellac and the drawer bottoms have been stained black.
