MCM Huntley Dresser

Own a piece of the past with this nostalgic mid-century modern Huntley dresser.  Huntley Furniture Company was established in 1906 in North Carolina.  Thomasville Furniture bought the company in 1961, which is when the Huntley name disappeared.  This piece has been finished with a creamy neutral paint wash that allows the wood grain to peek through, and combined with a soft black that modernizes the MCM style.  The star of the show is the hardware, which is original.  The hardware is drool-worthy and is a combination of wood and solid brass.  The drawers are deep, and glide very smoothly.  The drawer interiors have been cleaned and conditioned.  A stencil design has been added to the side of the drawers.  The top of the dresser and the face of the drawers have been top coated for durability, and the black surfaces have been polished with hemp oil.  This is a beautiful piece of furniture that is in excellent condition.
