This vintage dresser dates back to the turn of the century and hails from New York. It has been passed down from generation to generation within one family up until now. The adorable little drawer on the top is referred to as a “hanky” drawer, which was used to store handkerchiefs. In modern day, this drawer could be used for so many fun things, including but not limited to jewelry. Some of the wood was left exposed because it was just too beautiful to cover up. It has simply been clear coated to show off its raw beauty. The main color of the dresser is a deep green color, dry brushed with champagne metallic paint and protected with two coats of clear wax. The inside of the drawers have been painted with a very light blue color. New crystal knobs were added and were chosen to honor the era the piece originated from. The drawers slide in and out on wood tracks that are on each side. The condition of the entire piece is very good considering its age. It stands solid without any wobbling.
